Search for the best wedding photo sharing apps in India and you will find a dozen tools that all promise the same thing: guests scan a QR code, take a selfie and get their photos. The promise is real. The differences are in the details that matter to a working studio: what quality guests actually receive, how photos get from your camera to the gallery during the wedding, how pricing is counted, and whether the tool helps your business or only delivers files.
This is a practical comparison written for Indian wedding photographers and studio owners. We make RAIMO, so we have included it, and we have tried to be fair: every fact about another product comes from that company's own website or help pages, linked below, as we found them in September 2026. Products change often, so check the current details before you decide.
What to look for in wedding photo sharing apps in India
Before comparing names, decide what you actually need. For most Indian wedding studios it comes down to these questions:
- Face search: can a guest find their own photos from a selfie, without an app or login?
- Multi-function weddings: can one guest link cover haldi, mehendi, sangeet, pheras and reception, and search across all of them?
- Quality: do guests get the file you uploaded, or a resized copy? Is full quality an extra charge?
- Live delivery: can photos reach guests during the function, from a DSLR, and how?
- Privacy: can you make a wedding private, and what happens to face data afterwards?
- Pricing model: are you paying per photo, per GB, per event or per month? What happens in a heavy wedding season?
- Beyond delivery: do you also need albums, client selection, a website or a CRM, or do you already have those elsewhere?
Keep your answers in mind as you read the options.
Option 1: Google Drive or Google Photos
Many studios still start here, and it is not a bad place to start for small events.
- What it does well: free to begin with, familiar to every family, and easy to share a link on WhatsApp. Google Photos can group faces inside your own library.
- Where it falls short for weddings: guests cannot search a shared folder by selfie, so everyone scrolls through everything. Everyone with the link sees every photo. Downloads of a full wedding are large. Your studio's name is nowhere on the gallery.
- Cost: a Google account includes up to 15 GB shared across Gmail, Drive and Photos, according to Google's own help page. A single wedding in RAW-derived JPEGs can fill that quickly, after which you pay for Google One storage.
Good for: a small function, or as a backup copy. Not built for guest delivery.
Option 2: Kwikpic
Kwikpic is one of the best-known face recognition photo sharing apps in India and has a large user base among event photographers.
- What it does well: face recognition delivery, apps on iOS, Android and web, and a desktop app for Windows and Mac. Its desktop app can watch a folder and upload new photos to a group as they arrive, which works for tethered shooting. It also offers digital albums and flipbooks, watermarking, branding and download controls, according to the Kwikpic helpdesk.
- Quality: Kwikpic's uploads help page says photos are uploaded at a standard 2160 pixels by default. A higher-resolution option is available, and one high-resolution photo counts as 2.5 photo units against your storage. Keeping the full-sized original is described as a paid add-on you request from their team.
- Pricing: the helpdesk lists photographer plans from ₹3,490 to ₹29,990 a year, counted by number of photos.
Good for: photographers who want a mature, app-based sharing tool and are comfortable with its quality options. We cover the differences in more depth in our Kwikpic alternative guide.
Option 3: FotoOwl
FotoOwl is an Indian AI photo gallery for event photographers with a storage-based pricing model.
- What it does well: AI face search, branding, gallery themes, photo selling, auto-generated reels from photos ("ReelIt") and camera-to-cloud uploads, as listed on its pricing page.
- Quality and pricing: the same page lists a free tier of 1,000 images and paid plans priced by storage, from about ₹494 to ₹2,083 a month billed annually, with original-quality upload on paid tiers.
Good for: photographers who want storage-based pricing and built-in photo selling.
Option 4: Samaro
Samaro focuses on delivery through WhatsApp.
- What it does well: according to Samaro's website, guests find photos with AI face recognition, get notified when new photos of them are uploaded, and can receive photos through a WhatsApp bot. It also mentions camera-to-cloud upload and animated web invites.
- Pricing: plans were not listed on the home page when we checked, so ask them directly.
Good for: studios whose clients live on WhatsApp and who want delivery to happen inside WhatsApp itself.
Option 5: RAIMO
RAIMO is built for Indian wedding studios that want delivery and the rest of the business in one place. Here is what it does, and where it may not be the right fit.
- Face search across the whole wedding: guests scan a QR code, take a selfie and find every photo they are in, across every function, with no app or login. See how face recognition photo sharing works.
- Original quality: the files you upload are stored as they are, and by default guests download those files. There is no extra charge for full resolution; storage is what counts.
- Live delivery from a DSLR, four ways: a laptop uploader for tethered shooting, a phone on the camera's WiFi with the RAIMO Android app's Auto Sync, direct FTP from newer pro bodies, or a small box at the venue. We compare them in live photo delivery from a DSLR.
- Guest uploads with approval, so guests' own phone photos join the wedding only after you approve them.
- Beyond delivery: digital albums and 3D flipbooks with couple approval, client photo selection with Lightroom export, wedding e-invitations with RSVP and gate passes, guest reels, a studio website with your own domain, and a CRM for leads, bookings and payments.
- Pricing: per wedding (Event Starter ₹499, Event Pro ₹999, Event Max ₹1,999), with monthly plans only for the parts that are monthly by nature, like your website. Your first event is free.
Where RAIMO may not suit you: if you only want an app-first sharing tool and already run your website and CRM elsewhere, a delivery-only product may feel simpler. Watermarking of event galleries and WhatsApp delivery are not live on RAIMO yet.
Quick comparison
- Pricing unit: Kwikpic counts photos (yearly plans); FotoOwl counts storage (monthly, billed yearly); RAIMO charges per wedding for delivery, with storage included in each pass.
- Full-resolution delivery: Kwikpic offers a high-resolution option and a paid original add-on; FotoOwl lists original quality on paid tiers; RAIMO delivers the uploaded file by default.
- Live upload: Kwikpic uses a desktop folder-sync app; FotoOwl lists camera-to-cloud; RAIMO offers laptop, phone, FTP and venue box options.
- Website and CRM: RAIMO includes them on Studio plans. Check with other providers for their current offering.

How to choose
- If you shoot a few small events a year, start with whichever tool has a free tier and see how guests respond.
- If you shoot big multi-day weddings, prioritise search across functions, live upload that works with your camera, and generous per-wedding storage.
- If you want one login for the studio, look at whether albums, selection, invitations and your website can live in the same place as delivery.
The fairest test is a real wedding. Create your studio on RAIMO and run your next function on it; your first event is free and no card is needed. Compare the passes on our pricing page.
What is the best wedding photo sharing app in India?
It depends on what you need. For guest delivery alone, several apps offer selfie-based face search. If you also want original-quality downloads by default, live DSLR upload, albums, a website and a CRM in one place, RAIMO is built for that.
Is there a free wedding photo sharing app with face recognition?
Several tools have free tiers or trials. RAIMO gives every new studio its first event free on Event Starter, which includes the QR code, AI face search and the guest gallery.
Do guests need to install an app to get their photos?
Not with RAIMO. Guests scan a QR code or open a link in the browser and take a selfie. Some other tools offer their own apps as well as web access.
Which photo sharing apps deliver original quality photos?
Check each provider's current quality settings. Kwikpic documents a standard 2160-pixel upload, a high-resolution option and a paid original add-on. RAIMO stores and delivers the file you upload by default.
