Ask ten Indian photographers how they set their wedding photography packages and price, and most will say some version of "I check what others in my city charge and stay a little below." It is understandable, and it is the fastest way to work harder every season for the same money. Pricing by guesswork means you cannot tell which weddings actually made you money, and you have nothing to offer a couple except a lower number.
This guide gives you a simple method to price wedding photography packages in India from your own costs, build three tiers that couples can choose between easily, and add digital services, such as guest photo delivery, e-invitations, album approval and reels, that raise what each wedding earns without adding shoot days.
Start with your real cost per wedding
Before you set a price, know what a wedding costs you. Most studios underestimate this because half the costs are invisible.
List everything for a typical wedding:
- Team: day rates for second shooters, candid photographers, videographers and assistants, for every function day.
- Travel and stay: fuel, tickets, hotel nights for out-of-town functions, food on shoot days.
- Editing time: culling, colour and retouching hours, whether you pay an editor or do it yourself. Your own hours have a cost too.
- Album: design time, printing and binding, box, delivery.
- Equipment wear: a share of cameras, lenses, lights, drones, cards and batteries that wear out and need replacing.
- Software and storage: delivery tools, editing software, cloud storage and backups.
- Overheads: your studio rent, phone, marketing, and a share of the months when you have fewer weddings.
Add those up and divide overheads across the number of weddings you shoot in a year. That is your cost per wedding. Your price must be comfortably above it, with room for profit and for the unexpected, like the sangeet that runs three hours late.
Build three wedding photography packages, not ten
Couples compare. Three clear options make comparison easy and gently steer most people to the middle. A common structure:
- Essential: the main functions, one or two photographers, edited photos delivered online, a standard album. For families with a firm budget.
- Signature (the one most people pick): every function, candid and traditional coverage, a larger album with couple approval, guest photo delivery, and a short highlight reel.
- Premium: everything in Signature plus pre-wedding shoot, live photo delivery at the sangeet and reception, e-invitation with RSVP, an album that plays videos, and extra copies for parents.
Price the middle package first, from your cost per wedding plus the profit you want. Then set Essential lower by removing things that cost you real money (a photographer, a function, album pages), and set Premium higher by adding things of high value to the family.
Do not build your tiers by removing small comforts. Couples notice when the only difference is "10 fewer album pages".
Digital add-ons that raise every package
This is where most studios leave money on the table. Digital services have a low cost to you and high visible value to the family, because every guest and relative sees them. The costs below are what they cost on RAIMO at the time of writing; what you charge the family is your call.
Guest photo delivery with face search
Every guest scans a QR code, takes a selfie and gets their own photos, during the wedding if you deliver live. Your cost on RAIMO is an Event pass per wedding: ₹499 for one function, ₹999 for the full wedding with live delivery and search across functions, ₹1,999 for large weddings with several photographers. See how to share wedding photos with every guest.
E-invitation with RSVP and gate passes
A digital card with the whole schedule, maps, RSVP and personal gate passes, featuring your pre-wedding photos. Included in Studio Pro (₹1,999 a month) for as many weddings as you run that month. Read wedding e-invitations with RSVP and gate passes.
Digital album with couple approval
A page-turning album the couple approves before print, with notes on each page. Your cost is an Album pass: ₹299 for a digital album, ₹799 with the 3D flipbook, selection and approval, ₹1,499 with videos watched from a QR code, ₹2,499 for a printed album that plays video when a phone is pointed at a photo. See wedding album design approval.
Guest reels and your own reels
Guests turn their photos into reels with your logo, and you make reels from every wedding for your own Instagram. Growth plans start at ₹999 a month; guest reels come with Growth Pro.
Extra album copies
Parents and grandparents can request copies from the digital album page with the cover they choose. Each request is an order you can price.

How to present add-ons without sounding pushy
- Include one or two in the middle package. Guest delivery and album approval are easy wins that make Signature feel complete.
- Offer the rest as a short add-on menu, each with one line explaining what the family gets, not how the technology works. "Every guest gets their own photos on their phone, the same night" sells better than "AI face recognition".
- Show, do not describe. Open a sample gallery or invitation on your phone during the meeting. Families decide in seconds when they see it.
- Price add-ons as round numbers and keep the menu short, five items at most.
Take payments in stages
Indian wedding payments usually come in stages, and your package should say so clearly:
- Booking advance to block the date.
- A second payment before the first function.
- The balance on delivery of photos or album.
Put the stages and dates in the booking itself so you can track them. On RAIMO, each booking holds planned and received instalments, you can send a UPI payment link on WhatsApp, and for client photo selections you can require payment before downloads open, with the money going straight to your bank. Our guide to photography studio management software in India covers this in detail.
Put your packages where couples can see them
Many couples want a price range before they call. Showing your packages on your website, even as "starting from", filters out mismatched enquiries and saves you both time. On RAIMO's Studio Pro plan your packages and add-ons appear on your studio website with prices, next to a calendar of free dates.
To see what each layer costs, including the bundles that combine delivery, albums, website and reels, visit the pricing page. RAIMO One at ₹2,999 a month includes Event Pro for 10 active weddings, Studio Pro, Album Pro for 25 albums and Growth Basic, which is often cheaper than buying each separately in a busy month.

How should I price wedding photography packages in India?
Start from your real cost per wedding, including team, travel, editing time, album, equipment wear, software and overheads. Add the profit you want, build three clear packages, and review the numbers every season.
How many packages should a wedding photographer offer?
Three is usually right: an essential option, a middle package most couples choose, and a premium option. More than that makes the decision harder for the couple.
What add-ons can increase earnings per wedding?
Digital add-ons such as guest photo delivery with face search, live delivery, e-invitations with RSVP, digital albums with couple approval, videos in the album, guest reels and extra album copies. They cost little per wedding and are seen by every guest.
Should I show my prices on my website?
Showing packages, or at least "starting from" prices, filters out mismatched enquiries and saves time for you and the couple.
How do I collect advance and balance payments?
Agree the stages at booking, record them as instalments, and send UPI payment links or reminders on WhatsApp when each is due. On RAIMO you can also require payment before a client's photo downloads open.
